    Description

    6 3/4 inch aluminum canteen with blue cover and plastic screw cap. The cover has a broken zipper. See pix. I see no name, but have not pulled the cover. The style of manufacture and neatness of the sewing says "Japanese" post war to me. I would have bought this 20 yrs. ago in order to survey the canteen field as I was doing research into the field and wanted to examine every variety of canteen I could find .  Time to go and let it go1
