1960's Vintage Mr.Wrangler Color Block Wool P-coat

My Grand father bought this new when he was in his 70's.He was such a cool old guy.After he passed I wore it a few times.It's tagged as a 42-I'm 6' feet tall & lanky and it fit me well with a little room to spare.I put it in a plastic garment box and it's spent the last 30 years sitting in my closet.If your looking for a pristine never been worn specimen,this is probably not the one for you.My g'dad genuinely liked this jacket and it shows some honest wear.That said,it is still in pretty great shape.I tried to show the wear in the pics.I have never tried to clean the couple of small stains.It will probably clean up nicely,given the efforts of someone who knows what to do.That's not my area of expertise,so I just left things as they are,rather than risk making something minor worse.My grampa was not a smoker and there are no musty or funky odors.The are no rips or tares.There are a couple of very small holes that are in the outer wool but don't go through to the very cool Peter Max lining which is completely intact in the body and fully in each sleeve.The cuffs and bottom hem/edge and collar are in very good shape,with no serious signs of wear.All the years of being in the garment box have left some wrinkles that will probably be easy to iron out,but again,I left it untouched to insure I didn't screw things up.The colors are still quite bright.I took the photos with inside and outside light,but neither really does the coat justice,it looks better in person than in the pics.Overall it presents well and is totally wearable with just enough wear to feel righteously broken in.And that's just what this is-a one owner,much loved jacket that's way too cool to be hiding out in my closet.
