These were made about 15 years ago as an experiment.
Not made in the traditional "Day of the Dead" look or style. They are made with sugar in DoD molds but are made to last by coating them in resin.
The features on each were burnt in.
Being encased in resin preserves the sugar. (Why go through all that hard work of making and decorating them if they won't last?)
It kind of looks like they're covered in honey! The resin gives them that "amber" hue.
Used for years as decoration during the Halloween/DoD season. Ready to give them up.
Three of the skulls are flat in back, the other three are full-rounded skulls.
About 3 inches wide, and 3 inches long.
Reasonably priced (even though they were labor-intensive to make).
    Hefty pieces--would make great paperweights
