Harry Cassie Best was Ansel Adams' father-in-law.
I originally purchased this painting at a John Moran's California Paintings Auction in Pasadena, California in October 2004 and will include all paperwork with purchase of this painting.  Includes Auction Catalogue.  Originally paid 00 plus fees.  You can see info on sale at www.invaluable.com.
I also have another H.C. Best painting listed as we are downsizing our collections as you can see with our other listings.  Hate to depart with both paintings but time for someone else to enjoy.
