    Description

In 1983 Eddie Basha western art collector extraordinaire commissioned CA (Cowboy Artists of America) founder Joe Beeler to create a medallion with an Indian head on it that he could gift to friends.  This gesture was so successful Eddie's good buddy Joe offered to sculpt future medallions.  Over the next 23 years they
collaborated on what would eventually become a hallmark series of bronze and later pewter medallions.  The medallions were used as holiday gifts or acknowledgements of gratitude.  The collection consisted of 27 pieces depicting Native American Chiefs & Plains Indians.  This tradition continued from 1983 until Joe Beeler's death in 2006.  Over the years it is estimated between 1000 to 1200 of these medallions were produced. The bronze fetch a premium and are thus more collectible. These medallions have become more treasured over the years, this extraordinary bronze medallion is signed "Joe Beeler CA" on the front and "From Eddie Basha" on the back.
