This impressive print entitled "Cattle Barons’ Ball" by renowned artist Randy Souders. This print is personally hand autographed by the artist.
This print features the magnificent dwelling of a real Texas oil and cattle baron. The home is known as "Thistle Hill" and it actually exists in Fort Worth, Texas (a.k.a. "where the west begins"). The setting features a gala evening with the upper crust of Texas society arriving to the tunes of a Mariachi band. Brightly colored Japanese lanterns reflect the festive ball gowns purchased from that new dry goods place in over in Dallas (i.e. Neiman Marcus). Longhorns, long-necks, and long tall Texan with even taller tales. Texans really need no excuse to party... in fact legend has it they single handedly invented the term "whoop it up" (brag, brag, braaaag :-) An estimated 10,000 individually hand painted bricks appear in the original painting.
As with all his work, you'll want to look for the artists' trademark "kitty cat." This print will be the perfect addition to any traditional, nostalgia, "Texana" or American South collection!
