    3" x 6" x 4 1/2" Tall. Exceptional Figurine.
A Burro pulls a wagon loaded with a Calavera couple and a friend headed to the cemetery to lay out ofrendas for their dearly departed on Day of the Dead.
Each piece is decorated in the bold colors and intricate brush strokes of Saul Montesinos, and each is unique.  Signed.
The figurine pictured is the one you will get!
NOTE:  This piece is missing one candle flame on the back of the cart.  The price has been reduced accordingly.
    Saul Montesinos
has been creating Day of the Dead pieces from clay in the similar manner of the Castillo work for as long as he can remember. He first began his work as a young boy in his father’s workshop, as is the case of most artisan families in Mexico. But, as his father aged, Saul took over the family business. He is now well known in Mexico for the type of pieces that are created only in Izucar.
    Shipping
is done with great care.  Pieces that might break off are wrapped in bubblewrap, then then the whole piece is wrapped again.  In most cases the figure is then double boxed for maximum security during shipping.
