    Day of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico to remember and celebrate the life of loved ones who have died.  Skeleton figures of all kinds are created to represent those who have passed. Frida Kahlo was a beloved Mexican artist who is internationally renowned.  She was married to the famous muralist Diego Rivera.  Frida suffered a severe accident early in her life which left her with a lifetime of pain and debilitating medical problems which were expressed in her paintings. She embodied a spirit of life in spite of her suffering and lived and loved with vigor.
    This interesting Day of the Dead ornament is Frida with a flower and movable skull earrings. This piece measures 4" high and 3 1/2" wide. There is a hanger built into the ornament.
