    I am calling this book used, however it appears to have been very lightly looked at. There is shelf wear to the dust jacket and it appears that something either was spilled and absorbed on the front cover and facing page and seeped through slightly to the next pages, the same with the back, it makes me wonder that when the white paper was glued to the covers that there was too much of something that soaked through and caused the problems, because the bottom edges are not discolored like something wet got on the bottom of the book and there is no damage to the outside covers. I am calling it a manufacturing defect. The book was published in 1998 David & Charles, UK, 159 pages with Index, 10 3/4" X 7 3/4", color photos throughout, price sticker on back of .95.
    The book provides solutions to the most common problems of horse care and management. The author takes each problem and deals with all aspects of the possible solutions, highlighting the practical steps necessary. Every topic is covered in detail, with tips on related issues. The book is divided into 4 parts, The Grass kept horse (Pasture), Stable Management, Health and Veterinary Care and Feeding and Nutrition. Although the author is English and some of the terms used may be unfamiliar to us, this is a great book to help with the most common and some not so common difficulties that may crop up during our association with our horses.
