  • Condition: The condition is very good with no tears or brittle paper. There is age toning as you can see what the mat did not cover.     Up for buy it now is a James P Beckworth “Black Scout” print.
    J.P. Beckworth was born in 1798.
    He found an important pass though the
    Sierra Nevada
    and led the first wagon train of settlers though.
    Today the pass, mountain peak, the valley and town nearby are named for him.
    He has a history that cannot be told in this space. The net can give you the full history of this interesting black person who has a history that a book was written about him.
    The artist is Izell Glover.
    He is a storyteller, teacher, artist and cowboy. As the founder of the Black
    Cowboys,
    he tells historical legends of black cowboys lost in time.
    This was inked hand signed and numbered by the artist.  The left side corner has number 134 / 500.  The dimensions of the mat are 12” by 14”.  The print is 7 3/8” by 8 5/8” within the framed mat opening.  I removed this from the wood frame so you could save shipping charges.  I discount shipping charges for multiple items shipped at the same time.  Discount refunded when items shipped.  I do not offer returns on any of my items as you are guaranteed satisfaction per eBay’s stated return policy.  If you have any questions on this or any other question please email.
