Lot of 12 Howdy Doody Welch’s Jelly Jar Glasses.
Eleven of glasses are marked with copyright “1953.
The Clarabell Gets A Kick Out of Circus Mule is marked with copyright “KAGRAN”.
The Howdy Doody Welch’s Jelly Jar glasses are as follows:
(1) “Clarabell Gets A Kick Out of Circus Mule” - Orange with Clarabell embossed on the bottom
(1) “Hey Kids!
On Land Or Sea Welch’s Tastes Best We All Agree” - Yellow with Howdy embossed on the bottom
(2) “Hey Kids!
Hip Hip Hooray Welch’s Leads The Parade Each Day” – both are Orange and both have Clarabell embossed on the bottom.
(2) “Hey Kids!
Hip Hip Hooray Welch’s Leads The Parade Each Day” – Both are Blue, 1 has Flubadub & the other has Howdy embossed on the bottom.
(2) “Hey Kids!
Ding Dong Dell Ring for Welch’s You’ll Like It Swell” – both are pink 1 has Bluster and the other has Dilly Dally embossed on the bottom
(I think Dilly Dally is the character’s name but it’s been a long time since I watched Howdy on TV.
Anyway, he’s the guy with the cap on his head that you see in the photos of the bottoms of the glasses).
(1) “Hey Kids!
Ding Dong Dell Ring for Welch’s You’ll Like It Swell” – it is Orange and has Bluster embossed on the bottom.
(2) “Hey Kids!
Come On Along Your Welch’s Sure Makes You Strong” - both are Pink, 1 has Howdy and the other has Clarabell embossed on the bottom.
(1) “Hey Kids!
Come On Along Your Welch’s Sure Makes You Strong” - it is Blue and has Bluster embossed on the bottom.
They are approximately 4” tall. I see slight white haze on the inside of the blue and 1 of the pink “Welch’s Sure Makes You Strong” glasses. The haze is not visible when there is water in the glass so no big deal.
Otherwise ALL are in great shape.
I especially love the yellow glass withHowdy and Flubadub Fishing - too cute!
