    Description

A nice, large, elegant Mogollon or Hohokam olla. Red plainware with shell tempering. It is about 7" tall by 10" at its largest diameter, with a rounded bottom. The red slip has worn from handling under the rim. There may have been some black color on top at one time. Solid, with no cracks or restoration.
There is a clean 1/4" hole in the bottom that doesn't show on display. The pot may have been either ceremonially "killed," or found with a probe buried in the ground, or some other cause. The hole makes the pot ideal for use as a flowerpot, if you want to go that far!
Displays really well. Guaranteed 100% authentic for life. Fast free FedEx shipping.
