This is a wonderful vintage hardback book, The Red Roan Pony, by Joseph Wharton Lippincott, illustrated by C.W. Anderson.  Copyright 1946/1951, revised edition, first impression; J. B Lippincott and Co. publishers. Book in overall poor/acceptable, well-read condition. Ex-school library book with normal marks and stamps. Removed card pocket on inside back cover; Overall book shows tight binding. Although completely intact, some pages have tears (some taped/repaired), smudges, and crayon scribbles over text. Tears are generally found on inside/spine edges as well as top outer corner, some of which are repaired, and include approximately 28 pages throughout the book. Pages with crayon include pages 101, 120/121, 143, 160/161, and 194; text can still be read. There are rubs/stain on small sections of text on pages 130/131 and 183/184. A well-read copy that shows some creased/turned down corners to mark place in the book. Pages show some tanning due to age; wear on corner edges and spine; tears on edges of top and bottom of spine.
