Vintage 1950's Brooks Gold Label Cafe Racer Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket J281

J281 – For sale here is a Vintage 1950’s or 1960’s Brooks Gold Label Café Racer Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket.  The size tag is illegible, but I would guess it is a 40 or 42.  The jacket is made of black leather, and I believe this to be horsehide.  The jacket looks great with the silver zippers and mandarin collar.  The jacket features all functional Talon zippers.  The collar snaps are silver and are Brooks marked.  The back of the male end of one of the snaps is DOT marked, and the other is not.  The leather shows very little wear with most of the minor wear being to the cuffs and to the lower stomach area.  This is a very fine jacket that is nice a supple.  All stitching is strong, and everything works just like it should.  The inside of the jacket is lined in smooth black cotton.  Again, the interior only shows minor wear.  There is a gold label makers tag in the collar that is a bit faded, but clearly reads, “Brooks Leather Sportswear Detroit MI.”  The care tag is present and legible.  The size tag appears to have been cut too short, and I can’t make out the size, but based on the measurements, I am guessing it is between a 40 and 42.  This is a real beauty.  Worn, but not overused or abused.  If you want one that looks great, but is fully functional, this is the one.  The measurements are below for your convenience.
