The dimensions in the title are the overall measurements including the frame. I believe this is on canvas although when you look at the back there is a thick hard cardboard. I was told by the previous owner although they didn't remember where they bought they remember being told it was an oil painting. I do not know much about paintings at all so please view all photos and feel free to ask questions or for more pictures that may better help you determine the materials used. I do see some cracking in the paint at the top ( something I did not notice from a few feet away ) but up close you can see the light cracking and it is highlighted in photos. I cleaned ( dusted ) the frame to the best of my ability I did not want to take a chance of an cleaning supply or water hurting the painting so there may be some light dust on the inner rims of wood frame on the front.
