Vintage SIGG 83 Army Metal Canteen Black w/ Cup JE 84. Rope, Stopper, collection tagged. Swiss-Made. Condition is "Used".
I cannot make out what's written on the plastic tag/button, a name on one side/and number on reverse, though it relates to the Swiss service member the canteen was issued to and their serial number. Very interesting. The interior liner looks very good, and the cork also, which fits snugly. Some dings, paint loss, wear is obvious. Canteen has been well loved, lots of beauty marks. The stories it could tell. I am not well versed on when this item was made, Post WWII for sure, because it's painted black, and perhaps 1983 and 84 for the pieces? I don't know for sure. I have no further into to offer, so please research on your own if you have further questions.
