Offered for your consideration is a vintage litho advertising tin of 'The Peanut Kids' Homogenized Peanut Butter. The 5 pound (capacity) tin was manufactured by the Producers Peanut Company Incorporated of Suffolk, Virginia. With the inclusion of a zip code on the tin, I am dating this can to around the 1960 to early 1970s era. The can features the Peanut Kids riding on a peanut, with a bright yellow background, and includes a true red lid. The lid is marked with the original selling price of .72. Overall, the can is in very good 'as found' condition, with all of the graphics clean and legible. There is no significant denting to the tin. The inside is very clean, with some minor oxidation inside and on the bottom, due to age. The can is 6 1/4" tall, with an additional 3 1/2" added with the wire handle. The base of the tin is 5 1/4" in diameter, and is 5 3/4" in diameter at the top. It has a total weight of about 4 ounces.  It will have a shipping weight of one pound, as it will be boxed for protection.  A fine representation for the collector.
