Woodtek Three Phase Magnetic Switch for up to One Horsepower Equipment

A jointer that I purchased came with a three phase motor and this Woodtek branded magnetic switch which I will not be using.  The seller had only recently purchased the switch.  I believe Woodtek branded products are sold by Woodworkers Supply Company, but I have seen very similar switches sold elsewhere.  The seller demonstrated the operation of the switch using his rotary phase converter.
I am not knowledgeable of three phase power or of this type of switch.  I can say that I tested it at the seller's location and that it worked fine.  There is a small information sticker inside the yellow enclosure, but there are no other instructions.
