I believe everything happens for a reason. Some may call it fate, or even coincidence, but I feel that everything, good or bad is placed in our lives to serve a greater purpose. I believe this concept to be true with people as well. There is a reason for our relationship with each person we come across. Some relationships bring us friendship, some relationships bring us love, and some relationships bring us growth in realizing we deserve better.
There is one kind of relationship that we all share, yet each are very different. The relationship with our guardian angel. Although, the term guardian angel refers to a spiritual relationship it doesn't have to be for everyone. The beauty of the guardian angel is finding those relationships amongst your life in different ways. We may or may not be aware of it, but we all have someone or something who cares for us deeply, that is watching over us. It could be a relative who has passed away, a parent, a friend, a pet, nature, or even a complete stranger.
For me, I have always felt that my guardian angel is my mom. When I am at a crossroads, she gives me the guidance I need. When I am struggling in times of sadness, she provides me the comfort and strength to persevere. When times are good, she celebrates right along side me. Even when I am not with her I feel her presence. She has always loved butterflies, so whenever I see a butterfly it is a little reminder, that no matter where I am, she is always there for me. It could be the friend that calls you to check in every now and then. Your dog that never leaves your side. Your grandma that has passed, but you know is still watching over you. The teacher who asked if you were okay when no one else noticed. No matter who or what it is, there will always be something there to watch over you, care about you, and remind you that you are not alone.
